Default need to know if graphics card can handle gw

My friend wants to play GW with his labtop here are his specs:

# Processor: Intel® Celeron® M 1.4 GHz
# Memory: 512MB
# Graphics: Intel ® Extreme Graphics 2

http://www.computers4sure.com/Produc...056027&iid=332 (that's a site with info about his labtop)

...The processor speed and ram meet the minimum requirements, but I'm worried about his graphics card...Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is only the slightest chance your friend is gonna be able to play and it will likely be at the bare miniumums.

-Tell him to download the game client and install it. Then run it.

-If he has problems, go to their tech support at www.guildwars.com and put in the error code for a search. Likely it'll be the graphics.

-If the game does run then he needs to look at how well it runs. The game will install with the best play parameters it thinks he should use.

-If the login screen is lagging and everything is at lowest setting then the graphics isn't working.

Find ouf it there is a video card upgrade he can do on that laptop, I doubt it, but he should try to find out.

Best I an offer up. Good luck

*Edit* Here is another thread about using the on board graphics
